Negative Pregnancy Test But Soft Cervix

Walking is the German desire ...

... and gardening of course!

After a leisurely Monday we moved last Tuesday to get rid of our garden. Although at least three green thumbs were involved, it was pretty sweaty.

The result was: A vegetable garden (as yet without vegetables).
Since we are busy Cologne brownies, do not we rested and prepared a delicious meal for our charming host. There was rice stuffed peppers and zucchini, served Löwenköttel . Since we are already at the gardeners are: yesterday we were back at work. The man and the woman with the scissors hands, made all kinds of plants an end.

Victor Harbor

On Wednesday, after we were jogging back with our guest dog, we went to fifth in the direction of water. First, our host father showed us the old port of Goolwa, where the previous weekend was the Wooden Boat Festival swum. Against the resistance of Aboriginal people there, a large bridge was built, which allowed us now, approaching to within sight of the mouth of the Murray River .

Next we went to one of the dams, the sea water from the river should keep away. Currently, however, the floodgates are open. South Australia experienced one of the wettest summer ever, and so the water pours out towards the sea - what the pelicans, but does not prevent the fish.

For best lunchtime we arrived at Victor Harbor and incorporated us an excellent chips (almost Belgian quality, 2 times as deep fried) and fish. Delicious thing, even without sauce. And the perfect tonic for a walk to Granite Iceland, situated directly in front of the town. Since there are to admire a horse-drawn Tram, waves crashing against rocks and in the evening several thousand penguins.
They come every day during their extended up to 25km fishing expeditions to the island. Instead of waiting (and for the "leadership" to cough up properly), but rather we plunged himself into the waves. The mermaid was running with the seagulls to race and the shaft and the Holy Grail became acquainted with the only rocks of this beautiful sandy beach.

Waterfalls and Wetlands

On Thursday we had our hiking instinct can finally run free on the way to Waterfall Gully, we searched for nearly two hours after the Eagle on the Hill. What the signs so promising sound was just a run down rest stop directly on the road. That was until about ten years ago the only way in the Adelaide Hills, previously was even raised Wegzoll. Down in the valley next to the road eats a kangaroo family - our first Kängus in the wild!

And the goal of our journey there was to marvel at waterfalls and at least as great fallen tree trunks;)

the way back up to the Mount Lofty grabbed us by ambition, photography was forbidden to drink permitted only during the run. On the way back to something cozier Park'n'Ride metropolis Crafers butterflies accompanied us in 1001 on our beautiful secluded path.
And thanks to our lovely host mother we knew shortly thereafter also serve that the Australians the best tacos (with the possible exception of a few Mexicans).

On Friday we walked from the apartment of our host sister about an hour in the local wetlands. Our goal: One of the famous public grills. Which are powered by electricity or gas, free (was because the coins stolen too often, as the half-hour still cost a dollar) and always in the company public toilets found (of which there are way almost 17,000 are in the country, if we have not lost count). We had a wonderful (radicals) BBQ and accordingly in the evening after a stroll through the Market in the City Cetral little hungry. Fortunately, we were at a Chinese table with rotating disk space, so we could order parts for rice and all. Particularly noteworthy is the (filled with wok vegetables) bird's nest!

Flinders Ranges

weekend we went to the South Australian mountains, named close to the main discoverer of the state. Went off early and the very Old Bakery Stone Hut was against the Pies with their journey noon we reached our quarters for the night, the peaceful village of Melrose at the foot of Mount Remarkable where we tested our tent, we slept in a family cabin Gastfmilie the Caravan Park. On Saturday we took no less than three walks, as we saw, not the nearly 1000 meter high summit took but a lot of other nice things. Classic evening BBQ, where we threw something (probably a Opposum) from the trees. And at night, the snakes moved their cars under the canopy.
Shortly after six, we felt their way back up the mountain to admire the sunrise. To a summit was not to think this time, after waiting for a birthday breakfast Maree on (British-German) and especially the north Flinders Ranges National Park 200 km.

is the highlight of the park Wilpena Pound (a couple of souped-up impressions here) - a 80 km ² large valley which is surrounded by mountains and only through a narrow passage is accessible. We walked into it, by an almost tropical landscape. Our hosts had already marveled at the journey out, as have many of the rain of the Outback has become green. All together we made it on a 720 meter-high Lookout and sang a birthday song. Moreover, even congratulated emus, kangaroos and (from the spider times apart), many goats. Latter, it should go a day later at the collar. As they chew all sorts of good and multiply rapidly, they are hunted by helicopter.

Well, the Outback is a rough area. Of these, we could us on the nearly six-hour trip to convince again. We are strengthened with the "worst fries in the country" in Port Wakefield. At Port Augusta the way we passed a coal power plant, which supplies almost all of South Australia with electricity. The coal for this comes from a place 150 km north of Wilpena Pound by train. Much cheaper can not restore power probably ... The

the has consequences for the environment, has been widely known already up in the Adelaide Hills. In the beautiful Stirling, where we were shopping on Monday, there are several options like buying environmentally friendly. We turned in Organic Market, were amazed at the prices (for example, a small parcel Tartex for over 5 €), and found at least an affordable milk powder that we use soon.
morning it is namely to Melbourne (hosted uncle and aunt ;-)) and on Saturday finally to the Great Ocean Walk - Adventure (spiders, snakes, rain ...) we come! Up in 14 days!

Second Chance Banks In Belleville Illinois

Continuation - a week later in Adelaide Part II

Glenelg North Beach: dolphins and stingrays

One fine cloudy Thursday morning after a restful night at our host sister and an extended jog in the wetlands, we were on our way to the beach. After one and a half hours by bus and train, we reached the east of Glenelg Adelaide. First, we strolled along the bridge, which has developed rapidly but to a hunt for the "highly toxic" Stingray. Unfortunately, the bad guy is hiding under the bridge.

Our guide then decided to North Beach, so we have half an hour by Baden had to be patient. The long deserted beach but compensated for the march along the apartments and yachts.

Especially because the first dolphin suddenly appeared ... gradually, we saw more dolphins, only one came again and after a while two ran past us, but were also quick to leave.

We enjoyed thoroughly the sun, which had defeated in time for our show, the clouds. A little too extensively, as we found at home, although we had creamed the prescribed manner ...
On the way back we found a playground for adults, forced us to the guide. The first called produce some inconvenience, but then took all the applause accompanying ladies.

The girls left the afternoon with an earned Cold Rock ice cream end, while the guide checked out the Art Galleries. Gabs evening at home in the hills dinner with Giovanni's Pizza (the hottest Italian in da village) and colorful salad a la Karen (with avocado!) - So we celebrated the birthday of our Gastschwägerin in-law a little.

(AUSTRALIAN!) FOOTBALL AND INTERNATIONAL NIGHT LIFE

On Saturday morning we had the opportunity a few real-Australian football Blokes up close to sniff. At the old high school our host brothers and sisters blew our host brother, a test match. The girls were of the opinion that the white dress he was super, otherwise it is rather dull. Despite all the offers Australian Football more action than the U.S..
evening we went to the birthday dinner with the Gastschwägerin to-be and their parents. Previously, our hosts were still her old home that was really right in the hills. A beautiful ride, especially because is attached to all corners of fruit (a little wine, too). Very European look there, but very curvy and off the beaten track.
The best thing about dinner in the City, "Coopers Ale" was definitely the name-giving Beer. The chips were so perverse large that a certain W. had to make his reputation as a human vacuum cleaner some honor. After all: The pumpkin-pizza was pretty nice though. And kindly could Mareike (occupied with salami!) Her "Chicken" Schnitzel Maui can pack ("Doggie Bag").

also "international" as the chips and the music played inside the dress codes for certain establishments. The carrier short pants could be counted on one hand (and was the author of these lines, in borrowed shoes, More), while matched up to 3,000 people in the shed .
The cocktails were expensive, the plastic glasses cheap, the Aussie Girls dressed up and too short but at least one berockt DJ what emerged.

Sunday

The next morning we woke to 12, the sizzle of bacon (in probably the worst Friing Pan in the southern hemisphere) in the parents of the birthday child. We lounged around, saw lots of pictures Putbacktouren the family, threw a few darts, chicken and chips already schwupps gabs. Ice cold drinks, of course, anyway. Only from home-brewed beer we only found out when we were on the go. Was not our last visit!

afternoon then we shot another round, from Port Adelaide, where there was to admire genuine Harley-Davidson guys and a huge garage sail (flea market), all the way down the beach.

We were amazed at what has for a long and beautiful beach Adelaide.

Dsa also attracts one or the other (amateur) fishing ...

To top off Australia came out for the first ice-adventure in which the price was reasonable for her money to one of ordinary Germans. Wafer dipped in chocolate, all kinds of sprinkles and whipped cream for free. The Laden is definitely better than its website!

PS: Actually, we were on Sunday train in the western metropolis of Perth broken, but the track was flooded. fully booked and the Ghan to Darwin / Alice Springs on ... No matter Littlehampton is beautiful!
